stitches abbreviations :

Kfb : knit into the front and then the back of one stitch. (increase)

C6B : slip 3 stitches onto cable needle (CN) and leave at back of work, K3, then K3 from CN.

C6F : slip 3 stitches onto cable needle (CN) and leave at front of work, K3, then K3 from CN.

Beginning with a 5.5mm(size 9) circular needle cast on 80 sts. Join into round being careful not to twist stitches. Place a sttich marker to remind you where the beginning of the row is.

row 1-4 : *K1, P1* rib pattern , repeat to end of row. (80 sts)

row 5 : *K1, P1, Kfb, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, Kfb, P1*, repeat to end of row. (96 sts)

Cable Pattern :

row 1 : Knit.

row 2 : Knit.

row 3 : *C6B, K6*, repeat to end of row.

row 4 : Knit.

row 5 : Knit.

row 6 : Knit.

row 7 : *K6, C6F*, repeat to end of row.

row 8 : Knit.

Repeat the Cable Pattern 3 times and then rows 1-4 of the pattern again.

(row 1-8, row 9-16, row 17-24, row 25-28, the length is about 6")

Decrease Crown :

row 29 : *K6, K2tog* repeat to end of row. (84 sts)

row 30 : *K5, K2tog* repeat to end of row. (72 sts)

row 31 : *K4, K2tog* repeat to end of row. (60 sts)

row 32 : Knit.

row 33 : *K3, K2tog* repeat to end of row. (48 sts)

row 34 : *K1, K2tog* repeat to end of row. (32 sts)

row 35 : *K2tog* repeat to end of row. (16 sts)

row 36 : Knit.

row 37 : K2tog. (8 sts)
